The year 1992 marks the birth of Food for Thought Catering, a delicious and courageous one woman show of ethnic and traditional creations. Wendy’s philosophy was to combine her passion for food with her ever growing collection of vintage tableware. This homespun idea made a big splash in the mid 90’s and grew to be Jubilee Catering and Café. That same philosophy has earned 5 consecutive Best Caterer Awards under Wendy’s tutelage and continues to guide its new owner’s success today. Wendy’s professional move to Food Styling was a natural progression. Interested in photography since childhood, food styling was always a fascinating field.
In 2006 Powell & Company was organized as a means for Wendy to showcase her culinary skill-set with a variety of markets.
Wendy’s styling experience in food packaging and branding, together with her keen eye for style and trends, is fresh and forward thinking. Wendy’s creations are vivid and compelling.
When creating recipes Wendy applies the power of good food and continues to use it as a means to create close community ties and lasting relationships. Today, Wendy combines practical experience, sophisticated flavors, natural ingredients and handy techniques that elevate meals to a level of simple sophistication.
